the 13th Annual Hike for Carpenter Hospice!

Hike for Carpenter Hospice is an annual tradition that raises funds and awareness for Carpenter Hospice and we are so excited to have families, friends and neighbours join us in person this year!
 
You are invited to hike around Carpenter Hospice property or participant in your own way. This unique way of hosting the event will ensure ALL our participants, staff, volunteers, and supporters can support the Hike for Carpenter Hospice while we practice physical distancing. The event will take place on Saturday, September 25th and your support will help provide in-hospice care to people in the last stages of their lives and community care for people dealing with grief or a life-limiting illness.
 
You can hike with us as an individual or as a member of a team. We encourage you to create a team for the hike - with your family, friends, school, church, community group, or company.
 
Each individual and or member of a team commits to raising a minimum total of $50 in pledges.
 
Your support will help us reach our goal of $125,000. Thank you! 

Where is the Event being Held?

Join us  at 10am on Saturday, September 25th and walk around Carpenter Hospice! 
 
OR participate with your family in a location that suits you:
  • Lace up your sneakers and walk 5 km on a local trail
  • Take a stroll around your neighbourhood with your dog
  • Hop on your treadmill
  • If you have another creative idea, let us know!
All onsite event activities will follow current Public Health Guidelines.

Hiker Check-In:

Each hiker, or their representative, is asked to attend one of the following Hiker Check-In times to pick up their hiker package and turn in any in-person pledges they have collected.

Available Times:

  • Monday, September 20th           Cancelled
  • Wednesday, Septmeber 22nd   9am - 5pm

Community Spirit Supporter: $1000 in pledges

You will be recognized as a Community Spirit Supporter if you /or your team raises a minimum of $1000 in pledges. 
  • Picture of you or team included in Event wrap up email to participants
  • Name recognition on event day online material
  • Submit video of you or your team walking to be posted on social media platforms
 
Pledges need to be submitted online or in person by Saturday, September 18th to be recognized as a Community Spirit Supporter.
